HOW TO CURL YOUR NATURAL AFRICAN HAIR WITHOUT HEAT

Ok, so I just got my braids out and i thought, "O! i can rock this to work just like this", and trust me, i did just that.
After i got board of wearing my braids out to work for sometime i started searching for ways to curl, style and rock my natural African hair without using heat(rollers, flattening or thonging machine).Hence i'm going to share with you the easiest ways to curl and style your natural hair(permed or not) that i have discovered and tried, DIY style with pictures and videos.

1. BANTU KNOTS
This to me is one very popular and well known hairstyle in Nigeria, Africa and the World at large. Most people will look at it as "A Timid Girl's Hairstyle", but to me its the bomb. lol. I know most people wouldn't want to be seen walking around wearing bantu knots but trust me the end products is Ah-May-Zin! so try this out during the weekend and let me know how it turned out.

2. TWIST OUTS

Twist outs are the bomb, cos you can use extensions to augment in cases where you want, but in this case styling our natural African hair without heat is our goal, so we just have to do this without the extensions.so its as simple as ABC... just take the quantity of hair you want(depending on the size you want your curls, then twist them. Take down the twists after a few days or nights, and enjoy your curly wavy hair.

3. FLEXI RODS

Oh, Yes! Flexi rods popularly known as "Brazilian Rollers" in Nigeria, obviously cos it gained popularity when the Brazilian hair bug bit most ladies in Nigeria. Well, one thing am sure most of you didnt know is that these flexi rods can be used to style damp or semi-wet hair. How big and chunky or skinny your curls come out depends on how much hair ou take per portion and how fat the flexi rod you use is. Well, now you know. so try it out and let me know the outcome.

4. BRAID OUTS
Just as the name implies, this is a simple style, where braids are loosened and rocked just like a weave or wig. Its that easy and simple, just braid your natural hair either flat(corn rows, isi aka, patewo, etc. lol), the loosen them after a few days or even a night depending on how intense the products you used are... viola! You're rocking a new style of natural hair turned weave. Yes!

5. FLAT TWIST OUTS
This to me is also a very fascinating stuff to do. Its like the regular twists or twisting we know, just that this time its twisted flat on the head not single(hope you understand me). Well this style if well done can we worn as a style on its own, then be sure to loosen them carefully so as to rock your twist outs well. find a video on how to do this attached bellow
